What Must I Do to be SAVED?

         The salvation story

I Am Saved

Now that I am Born Again

1Timothy 2:3-4 “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who will have all men to be saved AND TO COME TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH”.
A lot of people have this “I have arrived” feeling after answering an altar call or after receiving the lord Jesus into their hearts, probably it is the deep peace and satisfaction that comes along with it, to have escaped death and now received the life of God (John 5:24). On the contrary, it’s just the beginning of the journey with a destination ahead. God wants us saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, so there is more to being born again, yes He wants you saved but not to stop there He also wants you to come to the knowledge of the truth because “You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32), there is a life free from sin, failure, poverty, sorrow, dominion and oppressions of the devil, that God has called us to live but it takes the knowledge of the truth to enjoy this dimension of freedom which is in Christ.

After the new birth God expects that we grow, As new born babes, desire the pure milk of the word that you may grow thereby. 1st Pet 2:2.

The life of the New Creation is that of faith and the way faith comes is by hearing and hearing by the word (Rom 1:16-17, 2 Cor 5:7), this goes to say that If you must grow in faith you must go to the word! Constant feeding and hearing of the word of His grace will bring about an evident growth in faith. For a believer that wants to enjoy the life he/she has received, there is no alternative to growing in Grace and in faith.

And now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified. Rom 20:32
